The Story of the Bog Folk

The Adventures of  the Wee Folk of the Bog

The wee bog folk are small creatures, so well hidden in their cedar, willow and cottonwood huts that they have gone undiscovered by humans for thousands of years. One thing they all have in common is that they have North Coast bogs within their territories, and thus the name Bog Folk.

The Gathering of the Clan Wee Folk of all four North Coast Clans; The Bog, Cedar, Limpet and Skeena happens twice a year in spring and at autumn.  This story takes place at the autumn Gathering at the Village of the Limpet Folk.

In this take a small group of traders are headed to the Exchamsiks Clan to trade their goods for those of the inland clans.  They are caught in a tidal storm near the mouth of the mighty Skeena River and are marooned on an island waiting to be found.

Meanwhile, at the Gathering old jealousies are coming to a head with surprising consequences that the Elders must try to mitigate.  The healing hut is compromised and some medicines, which can be poisonous when taken in too strong a dose are stolen.  Who took them and who do they want to hurt?

Read on to see the surprising twists this adventure takes.  Please let me know how you like it and please share with your friends.
